Global running day events, an Alo wellness walk, a free trail running excursion from Hoka, and our take on the new sunset sessions at QC spa on Governor’s Island.
what a guide! sharing another for those into sauna, cold plunge, and doing it all outdoors in a gem of an East Village community garden...
SWEAT #08: Sauna & Sound in the Park ($25)
Dates: Saturday, 6/6 + Sunday, 6/7
Time: 10AM - 6PM
Details: SWEAT #08 turns an East Village park into an open-air bathhouse. Across two days, we'll have guided or DIY sauna sessions, free cold plunges, immersive sounds from two DJs, herbal tonics from Sacred Software, iced matcha from Casa Sui, ginger shots from Juicy Lucy, and hydration from local vendors. All outdoors in a community garden in the heart of the East Village. Rain, snow, or shine.
Oh this is awesome, thanks for commenting Gabe! I’ll be sure to share later this week on Substack notes, too. Please keep me updated on future events so I can include them in the newsletter!
Would love to hear more about Hydrox, Hannah! I still don't know if I get it ...
Also, QC NY is totally overrated as a spa experience (why are ALL the pools th same temp and WHERE is the cold plunge) EXCEPT if you go for during your birthday month when you can get two tickets for the price of one! A good hang on a nice day!
Ok but I don’t hate that they don’t lean into the cold plunge bs 👀👀 hehehe. I go for the sunset views of the city but TRUE good bday hack!!
Hahah Hyrox was actually way more fun than I thought it would be! 8 stations of strength or conditioning (like sled pushes) with 1k of running between each one. I don’t think I’d ever get competitive with it or travel for it like so many people do now, but it was an encouraging environment and a joy to do with a partner. Plus a LOT more body type representation than say, a marathon which I loved. More ppl strength training is always a win!!
Actually obsessed with this Substack
so happy to hear this 🥰
Did you all ship a package to 19 Carroll on accident?
Ooh we did not but there's a chance a brand tried to ship something to us and put the wrong address? Is The Rundown NYC listed as the recipient?
It just says The Rundown and has a super ambiguous sender! No clue what it might be
It could be a different rundown for all I know
Could you shoot a photo of it to my email? Hannahsingleton2@gmail.com. Thank you and sorry if its us!
